AI Phone Agents for Business

A voice agent that picks up your business line, answers the questions callers actually ask, captures their details and books the appointment — during business hours, after hours, or both.

What is an AI phone agent?

An AI phone agent is software that answers your business phone line, holds a natural spoken conversation with the caller, and completes a task — answering a question, taking a message, qualifying a lead, or booking an appointment.

It listens using speech recognition, decides what to say using a language model trained on your business information, and replies in a natural voice. Unlike a phone tree, there are no menus: the caller just talks, and the agent responds. Anything it can't handle is escalated to a person the way you tell it to.

Two ways to run an AI phone agent

Full-day coverage

The agent answers every call, all day. It handles routine questions, screens and qualifies new enquiries, books work straight into your calendar, and transfers anything that needs a person. Nothing rings out while your team is on a job.

After-hours coverage

Your team answers during the day; the agent takes over at closing time, on weekends and on holidays. Evening callers get a real conversation instead of voicemail, and you start the next morning with qualified enquiries already written up.

AI phone agent FAQs

What is an AI phone agent?

An AI phone agent is software that answers your business phone line, holds a natural spoken conversation with the caller, and completes a task — answering questions, taking a message, qualifying a lead, or booking an appointment. It uses speech recognition to hear the caller, a language model to decide what to say, and a synthetic voice to reply, so callers reach a helpful voice instead of voicemail.

How does an after-hours AI answering service work?

Calls that arrive outside your business hours are forwarded to the AI agent. It greets the caller with your business name, answers common questions, captures the caller's name, number and reason for calling, and can book a callback slot. You get a written summary of every call, so your team starts the next morning with the details already in hand.

Can an AI phone agent book appointments?

Yes. The agent can be connected to your calendar or scheduling tool so it offers real open slots, confirms the booking on the call, and sends a confirmation to the customer. Most of the time we schedule directly into the calendar and software system you already use, so you don't have to switch tools. (We'll confirm this on the discovery call.)

Will callers know they are talking to AI?

If state law requires it yes, otherwise we leave it up to you as the business owner. If the caller asks: "Are you a robot?", "Are you an answering service?" or "Are you an AI?" then yes, we will disclose it. Callers can ask to be transferred or to leave a message for a person at that point.

How much does an AI phone agent cost?

After-hours coverage starts at a $999 one-time buildout plus $499 a month, which includes up to 150 calls or 300 minutes. Full-day coverage starts at $999 to build plus $699 a month for up to 300 calls or 600 minutes. Plans with lead qualification, appointment booking and advanced routing run from $649 to $1,099 a month depending on coverage and call volume.

What happens if the AI can't answer a question?

The agent follows an escalation path you define: transfer the call to a person, take a detailed message, or schedule a callback. It never guesses at answers it hasn't been given.
